Jody is a beautiful young dog with a calm and friendly nature. He walks well on the lead and is well mannered. He is strikingly handsome and has a great presence. He is happy to hang out and loves going for walks. Jody has enjoyed his outings out in public. He has no problem dealing with crowds. He has taken part in a dog show on one of his days out and finished second. He loved the attention! He has a youthful energy and is still learning about life as a pet but so far, he has adapted to every situation without any fuss. He loves being groomed and welcomes cuddles. He is happy to walk in either an urban or rural environment. He loves going in the car and travels well. Jody enjoys a good zoomie! Jody is full of life and ready for fun.

Mandy this absolute cutie is so smart and so friendly. She has taken to the pet life very quickly and it melts our hearts to watch her play with toys and other dogs. Mandy is very gentle and calm and loves to be included in games. Her playful, placid nature makes her a hit with other dogs and she has no problems with small or larger breeds. Mandy is a confident soul and would have no problems being placed in a town, city or rural area. She is very adaptable. She would make an very joyful addition to any home.

Madam Molly is ready to find her peaceful forever home. We wouldn’t say that Molly is a lazy Greyhound but she has really taken the word “retired” to heart and she certainly would be more suited to a home that lead a sedentary lifestyle. Molly prefers company, and long pats to long walks and whilst would happily be a coffee companion at the local café, she hopes your drove. If it’s a beach holiday you’re dreaming of with an amazing companion by your side Molly’s your girl, just don’t bring a ball and make sure the towel is extra fluffy. Molly is great with other dogs, she loves the companionship but would be equally happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention. Molly’s laid back attitude would make her an ideal companion to a slow paced, peaceful home.
We anticipate receiving additional hounds from Australia in the Fall. Although it doesn’t happen often, we never know when hounds might be rejoin the Arizona Heartfelt Hounds family and need new homes.

Several weeks ago Arizona Heartfelt Hounds was notified about a sighthound mix in Globe that an owner wanted to surrender. Unfortunately, we were not able to take him in. However a wonderful good Samaritan stepped up and picked him up. We are posting their availability as a courtesy to help them find their forever homes.

Pogo (for his vertical pogo-ing skills) is MR. ENTHUSIASM! He is VERY EXCITED about everything right now. This handsome boy is so happy for attention, and just being indoors after being chained out in a pasture, that he doesn’t know how to manage his joy at the prospect of being a house dog!
Pogo is a younger adult, at 2-3 years old. This bounding athletic face-kisser is super outgoing. He barks in the backyard at strange sights and sounds, including his foster mom’s tortoise, so is an effective watchdog. He is way too friendly for any guardian role. He will join in with neighborhood coyotes or sirens for a short roooooo. Dog savvy teens would be ideal playmates, though kids under ten could be bowled over by this black and white rocket, aka 60 pounds of pure joy. Bonus! Pogo crates well overnight with no accidents, walks and recalls to sit well on leash, and enters and rides very nicely in the car.
This flashy “Diamond in the Rough”, is recommended to previous dog owners with skills to enhance his training and whose active lifestyle already includes deliberate exercise. Obedience class would enhance his place in an active and loving home. This goofy, affectionate boy MUST have two daily walks daily along with outdoor play “Zoomies”.

We have a waiting list for Greyhounds. We have 4 retired racers from Australia coming in January 2023, but we believe they are all spoken for.
Please check back often… we do have hounds that return to us from time to time. We like to get dogs that are use to being in homes placed with a Foster Family or in a new home quickly. We don’t place hounds on a first come/first served basis… we will continue to match each hound with the best adopter and the best home.
We are hoping to receive Lurchers from the American Lurcher Project in Ohio in 2023!
